F
She awakes in a clearing
Tall trees with large canopies
cover the sky
The jungle is dense
criss crossed with paths
But sunlight
is still bathing the ground
There is a path
medium width
lined with flowers
level and good for travel
An innocent toddler
She begins her journey
Along the way
she picks the flowers
and grasps then in her tiny hands
pushes them into her hair
or ties them toghether in long chains
Whenever a stray rock
tripps her
A few flowers are left behind
As time passes
She loses her innocence
And the road has a lot more things for her to
tripp on
Very rarely
Another path will
appear winding into the shadows
She stays on the origanal
For now
But as she becomes a tween and a teen
the path becomes narrow
and rocky
So the next time
there is a turnoff
for a widened
smooth road
she takes it
Soon she finds
That the sunlight doesn't make it through here
and that the flowers
are wilted
But she cant turn back now
So when golden light
flickers up ahead
she takes the narrow
treacherous path anyway
You would think
she learned the lesson
but no
many times
the following years
she will stray
only to be called back
to the light
18 years since she started
a river stands in her way
but there is a bridge
to adulthood
so she crosses
The path is no easier
but she finds a man
and bears a child
who toddles along on its own
flowered path
Eventually
the child crosses the bridge
and she and her husband
continue without their darling
Still the road is challenging
Dark paths beckon
but she stays on her path
for the most part
Traveling forwards
she strays often
in the days since her husband's
heartattack
Many years have passed
Allmost a lifetime
not much time is left
When she stepps into the clearing
her Earthly body
is replaced
with a heavenly one
She runs to His arms
like the innocent child
she once was
and is again
Welcome to my Fathers house
He proclaims
and tears of joy fill her eyes
Home at last
Home
Where the soul belongs
In case you didnt understsnd- an explanation:
The path is life
the flowers are the good things
rocks and other things mske you stumble, aka do something wrong
when the flowers are left behind, it shows how she is trying to make the best of it
the narrow represents the difficulty if being a Christian
the dark paths are like material things that give us false happyness
or bad choices that are more than just a stumble
Feedback is greatly appreciated
