Today I have come to the realisation that I have been a litte bit too distracted.
Since I have been reading this forum daily and it hasn't helped me remember why i am here, I thought I would share this with you.

I would like you guys to spend some time today asking yourselves:

Have I been living minute by minute with the knowledge that I am living for the Kingdom of God?

Does every minute of my life and the way I live it say that "in Him( Jesus) I live, move and have my being" (Acts17:28).?

Have we been living as citizens of heaven, brilliantly radiating the Glory of God to the lives that surround us, or have we let the desires that don't last more than a lifetime lure us out of the path that God has set before us?

I challenge you guys to think about the responsibility and the promises that God has for you, as a child of God. The Bible says that we are the righteousness of God in Christ.

Psalm 139

For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.

1 O LORD, You have searched me and known me.
2 You know my sitting down and my rising up;
You understand my thought afar off.
3 You comprehend my path and my lying down,
And are acquainted with all my ways.
4 For there is not a word on my tongue,
But behold, O LORD, You know it altogether.
5 You have hedged me behind and before,
And laid Your hand upon me.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
It is high, I cannot attain it.

7 Where can I go from Your Spirit?
Or where can I flee from Your presence?
8 If I ascend into heaven, You are there;
If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there.
9 If I take the wings of the morning,
And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
10 Even there Your hand shall lead me,
And Your right hand shall hold me.
11 If I say, “Surely the darkness shall fall[a] on me,”
Even the night shall be light about me;
12 Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You,
But the night shines as the day;
The darkness and the light are both alike to You.

13 For You formed my inward parts;
You covered me in my mother’s womb.
14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.
And in Your book they all were written,
The days fashioned for me,
When as yet there were none of them.

17 How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!
How great is the sum of them!
18 If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand;
When I awake, I am still with You.

19 Oh, that You would slay the wicked, O God!
Depart from me, therefore, you bloodthirsty men.
20 For they speak against You wickedly;
Your enemies take Your name in vain.[c]
21 Do I not hate them, O LORD, who hate You?
And do I not loathe those who rise up against You?
22 I hate them with perfect hatred;
I count them my enemies.

23 Search me, O God, and know my heart;
Try me, and know my anxieties;
24 And see if there is any wicked way in me,
And lead me in the way everlasting.

Greetings Psalm2713.

I agree that it is unfortunately a universal weakness among all of us that we do not reflect on or live out the fact that Jesus is to be sovereign over every waking moment of our days, and His grace and goodness ought to be enthroned in our hearts and minds above all other sentiments and earthly distractions.

May God grant us a Christ-centered hunger that we will not seek to tame or fulfill by any means other than Himself.

"Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness."
- Matthew 6:33

"When the Christian is out of fellowship with God, when he takes matters into his own hands, when faith and hope are no longer in exercise, his case is no better than that of the unregenerate, for he has cut himself off from his comforts and is thoroughly miserable. Contentment and delighting in the Lord's will is no longer his portion: instead, his mind is in a turmoil, he is thoroughly demoralized, and now vainly seeks to find relief in a ceaseless round of diversions and the feverish activities of the flesh. He must be on the move, for he is completely discomposed: he wearies himself in vain exercises, till his natural strength gives out."
- A.W. Pink, The Life of Elijah, Chapter 24, pg 187

I Live But In Thee

O Light of my spirit and Joy of my heart
Thou Chief among thousands, how lovely Thou art
I think on Thy goodness wherever I may be
My Rock and my Salvation, I live but for thee

I care not for treasures that rust and decay
I seek not for pleasures that vanish away
Enough that my Savior my portion will be
O loving Redeemer, I live but in Thee

Thus far hast Thou led me, I'll trust Thee for all
I know Thou wilt ever respond to my call
I feel that Thy grace is sufficient for me
O Savior of Sinners, I live but in Thee

I get Bible verses sent to my email daily to help me remember to read the Bible daily. You can have one verse or two morning and evening thoughts, weekly verses about women or men in the Bible and read them when you have time. I try and read them daily but sometimes I spend a few hours a week reading the emails when I get a chance on Sunday. :)

Great Post Psalms2713! I really enjoy reading it.
