Honesty central. I've been going through something tantamount to catastrophic for just over three months now and I'm doing all I can to hold to God and trust in His word only. I am hypersensitive to my own thoughts, especially since the majority of them seek either to force the issue, as if my will has power, or assume the fetal position mentally. I am where I am because of forcing the issue, but then I also believe God brought this all about through me. All I know is that I am afloat right now because of Jesus.
I've finally left James after a whole month of study and I've ventured into Romans. Today I continued to think on 1:16-17,
"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.
For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "The just shall live by faith."
What a truth -- the gospel is the the power of God's salvation through His righteousness given to us in and through faith as the vehicle. Incredible. I think on Micah 6:8 and those classic lines, "He has shown you O' man what is good," -- He has shown us all that is good and acceptable through faith.
So in this trial through the desert I hold to my faith in Christ and hope through prayer that the Father's perfect will be done. I hope that He is using this to bring about a greater testimony for me and draw others who are far away from Him, near.
...all glory and honor are yours Holy One of Israel.
