"The name of the LORD is a strong tower; The righteous runs into it and is safe." --Proverbs 18:10

Recently, a small neighborhood church in my area became an Islamic Center. Much to my dismay, one of the first changes I noticed was the cross removal. On the one hand, the cross triggers my own sorrow as I consider Christ's pain, agony, and humiliation. Yet on the other hand, it fills my heart with gratitude as I remember He suffered for our reconciliation with God.

Based on Wikipedia's representation of Pew Research's statistics, Christianity still dominates as the world's largest religion. 32% of the world population consider themselves Christians. The second largest is Islam with only 23%.

Dear Father, Thank You for reconciling us to Yourself through the loving sacrifice of Your Son. I pray You would make known the redemptive power of Christ's sacrifice to Muslims around us. In Christ's Name, Amen.

That is powerful K ~ Sometimes I tend to focus on the
negative, forgetting to see the positive. I am grateful
for this reminder. God bless, ~ J~K~ 2

While it's good, we have to keep in mind that Islam is vastly growing. Many forced to believe or they face death, the birth population in the east in Islamic countries are on the rise, persecution happening by Muslims killing off those with different beliefs, and yes, many that are a good sum convert to Islam not seeing it purely for what it is (promoting violence) and buy into the 'Islam is perfect, Muslims are not' crap. It's only going to grow. The 23% is left in that darkness only to reproduce more in that same darkness and kill off or suppress those who are not under their beliefs.

The majority that are under the 'Christian' population are Catholics and you can find Catholicism being a popular practice world wide. While Catholicism and Christianity and its many branches stem from a similar root, it doesn't have all that same of practices and teachings, which I won't bother listing. But the history speaks for itself.

Ex-Catholic ;)
