Please help me pray for the church that I have my membership at. If you know anything about the Church of God and how it is organized, this will make sense. We had one person that our state office turned out of the church for creating problems. His family left because of this. We found out that his son was also creating problems. God answered a prayer by moving out the trouble makers who wanted to run the church. In 2010 another couple (husband and wife) left because they couldn't control the church or anyone in the church any more. Both of this family has ran pastors, members, teachers, and evanglists off. They have done so much damage, still starting rumors, that we can't get anyone to come to the church. We now have about 20 people. I know that we are to worship God and encourage. I also know that we have bills to pay and have to pay the pastor. four years ago, we got a new pastor. with in those four years we have went down from around 40 people to 20 people. We have a $120,000 loan at the bank. There are weeks that the pastor doesn't get a pay check or get a full paycheck. I know with all of my heart that God has a greater purpose for the church than being a laughing stock of the state. If we don't get people in and we don't get more money coming in, the doors will be closed this year. We also have a situation the the pastor and his father-in-law don't get along. When someone comes in, they can feel the tension between them. We need God to Move. Please don't say do projects to get the money. We do that. Out of the 20 people their, only eight people will show up and help. Also, some of those that was turned out of church and have left own there own, are telling people that when we get a new overseer, they are going to go to him and have the pastor kicked out and the church will be sold. If the pastor leaves and the two that left own their own comes back, they will get rid of the church clerk (my mom), the Children's church teacher (me), and the choir leader/sunday school teacher and the Boys Club teacher (my brother). We are all under stress and need God to move.
 
Update, We got word today that our pastor is leaving. He has accepted another church. We need prayers. This will give the opportunity for those that wanted him gone and said they would have positions changed. (Clerck, Sunday teachers, etc.). Also, the state office may decide to close the church doors. We have a church payment due Next week and we have no money in the account. Please pray for this situation. Urgent prayer. We need God's guidance.
 
Update on Prayer Request. We are going to be voting on a pastor on Wednesday; February 8. Everyone agreed that the church was their for a purpose. The one pastor that we have heard preach said he would not take a pay (He will be coming out of retirement and he is well known in this area). We weill hear the other pastor this Sunday. Still pray, we are still short of funds but i know that God can send in the funds. Also, we have couple of people trying to get couple power hungry people back into the church. We don't need them back to take over and be back like it was before.
