This is a very yummy recipe, even kids will like it. Your only problem iswill there be enough.
What you will need.1 lg round loaf sour dough bread.
16 oz. cream cheese, softened
3 (61/2 oz. cans chopped clams, drained, reserve 1/4 cup of clam juice
1tsp hot pepper sauce
2 Tbl. grated onion
2 Tbl beer
2 tsp worcestershire sauce
2 tsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp salt
parsly for garnish
for dipping; your choice, -vegies-crackers- or bread from hollowing out bread
cut off top from bread and hollow out inside leaving about 11/2 inch shell thickness.
in large bowl, beat cream cheese untill smooth, stir in clams, reserved clam juice, onion, beer,worcestershire sause, lemon juice, hot sauce and salt untill blended.
pour mixture into bread, cover with bread top.
wrap in foil and set on baking sheet.
bake in preheated oven at 250 degrees for three hours.
remove from oven, remove bread top, apply garnish.
serve with your chice of bread,crackers, vegies or all three for dipping.
I like triskets best for dipping.
when dip is almost gone you can finsh by eating the bread itself.
