Just recently, right here in my town, a young boy hung himself just about 20 feet from my back door. I spoke to my children concerning this young boy... wondering what would compel him to take his own life. It was said that he was very unhappy at home and was invisible in school.

My own daughter, 17 years old had tried to take her life (due to bullying). It wasn't that much of a shock to me that my child had tried to take her won life, because I saw that she was very unhappy, depressed, and her zeal for life had dissipated... I tried everything I knew how in my own power to do... including praying...

Now here's the thing, ever since my family moved here to this state, to this town... I believe that God has placed a yearning to heal the broken hearted youth here and give these young people something positive to do... I have seen fights, I have heard of killings, talks of joining gangs and worst of all... young people taking their own lives and contemplating taking their own lives to escape the harshness of this world...

It is my dream to open up a cafe or club... (more than a youth center)... a place where they can hang out, meet new friends, talk to counselors, listen to music, hear a live band, get some WORD, basically get encouraged and energized to live life to the full just the way God intended. They will be encourage to encourage others and build others up invest in people and themselves...

Pray that God will bless me with the money, building, grants, permits and help to see this dream come to pass.

How wounderful, you have a heart for the youth. Have you ever heard of the book the" Cross and the switch blade"
There is a group called Teen challange, I don't know if your town has their support. Maybe if you try to contact them,
and you tell them what you would like to do, they could give you ideas. If you go to the library, you can get the contact information
from the back of the book. Teen Challenge has been around since the late sixties or early seventies.

That idea stays on my mind. I have a 21 yr old but during his teen years that was my dream and still is. Teens deal with a lot. and they seen to hold a lot in...... But prayer is very powerful. I will pray your idea come to pass. Its what so many teens need. Hold on to your dream and faith. love you!!!!
 
I think your idea is wonderful. I remember a girl who lived around the corner who hung herself in the closet, her little brother found her the next morning :(. We often don't know what these people go through, and I think is amazing that you want to help. If God put that desire on you, He will make it happen for sure.
