Yes, you need a marriage license to get married.

And? Who cares? Do you think that makes marriage evil or something?
Is the government Caesar or not? Yes or no? If yes, then render Caesar's to Caesar, as the government does care.

Then I'm afraid you don't know me at all, even after more than a month's interaction. Desire for dating with another person to complete your life is innately a sign of discontentment with Jesus. If you're truly content with the Lord, it is in your conviction that Lord Jesus is enough, you're more than conquerers, than you wouldn't need validation from somebody else. You date because you're insecure, out of a scarcity mentality, you're concerned about loneliness, peer pressure, who's gonna care for you when you're old, blah blah blah, deep down you don't trust God with your future, you have to find a mate to fix your sin of "singleness". If that's you, friend, go ahead. I'm not here to argue, I just wanna tell you that Lord Jesus has liberated me from all these desires you've been repeatedly trying to convince me as "OK". May God bless you, friend, thank you for the entertainment.
Dear, desiring to be in a relationship does not mean you are not contented with our Christ. infact I belief we can only make better partners when we are contented in Christ. it is at the point of contentment that a Christian should seek matrimony. The point here is for us to understand between contentment in Christ or contentment as a defense mechanism from heartbreak. if it is a defense mechanism, relationship is not the goal. if it is in Christ pursue relationship. Because you will be happy and live well, you will not walk on eggshells in fear that it breaks and the relationship is 70 to 80 percent sure to survive this perilous times you earlier mentioned.

May God help us all to find contentment in Him.

God bless You

Also, concerning "contentment": single Christians are often told that the Good Christian Thing To Do is to be "content" with their singleness. The Bible doesn't actually say that, though. In 1 Corinthians 7, Paul actually says that if you're not content with singleness, then maybe you should get married. Paul also says that he, personally, is content with singleness. But he also says that not everyone is like that.

Paul also says that he wishes that everyone was like him (a single man content with being single), not that God wishes it. He even says that he has no "commandment from God" on this point.

Yes, relationship with God through Christ, He is our hope and strength to survive this perilous times - he who endures will be saved. Seeking matrimony is one thing, whether God grants it to you is quite another.

Yeah, not everyone is content with rice, beans and fish, maybe we should order gourmet feast. Pfffft.
