My boyfriend and I have been off and on for 6 years and recently he told me had a baby on the way! I then cheated and he found out about it! We don't know what to do! We both know God and knows that He is a jealous God but how do we right the wrong and move forward?

God is 'jealous' in that He wants us to put Him first in our lives. This makes sense because He is our Creator. If we worshiped other gods or false idols (which is anything we put before Him), then we would be believing a lie and living a lie. He wants us to live in the truth.

One of His teachings is that we are to be committed to our spouse completely without cheating (adultery). You and your boyfriend have been living as husband and wife so I'm sure this applies to you too :). If you want to follow God's will for your lives then read and study His Word. He wants you to be devoted to one another in marriage...or not at all. Do you and your boyfriend love each other enough to get married and totally be committed to making the marriage work? If not, then you probably should live separately.

Either way, putting God first in your lives will be a good thing. The Holy Spirit will come into your hearts and lead you as you make decisions.

God is loving and forgiving. As we grow in our relationship with Him, we learn that He wants the very best for us :).

Praying for you and your boyfriend...may God give you wisdom, direction, and forgiveness for each other.

Relationships- even just while dating- shouldn't have a "revolving door" policy. I'd recommend that you both figure out if you want to be together or not, stop the on/off business, and get straight with God.

This relationship sounds very destructive. He has a baby on the way, that's a huge responsibility, and one that shouldn't be taken lightly. I would step back pray and be relationship free for a while. Good luck.

I understand completely and we both want to fix things but how? The last incident I did out of hurt, anger and disappointment. When he did wrong I was able to forgive and I stayed with him, however what just happened, he has a hard time forgiving me! I told him that's unfair bc I gave him several chances! I'm torn! I am seeking God and I know that I will pass this test. God is not going to put on me anything I can't bear! I guess we need to seek God and let him repair our hearts!

I think the baby-on-the-way is a pretty big deal.

My own opinion is that 2 people, who are casually having affairs with others, probably aren't ready for a serious commitment.

I would recommend you actually sit down with your pastor and try to explain off of this to him.
I think he'll give you some very enlightening advice.

If you forgave him, then why did you turn around and cheat on him?

If you intend to stay with him, are you prepared to be at least a part-time mother to somebody else's child?

I dunno, the whole situation sounds toxic to me.

Sorry, but the two of you sound like a pair of emotional messes spilling over into each others lives. Neither of you sounds ready or mature enough to be in a relationship. The number of negative emotions you two are putting towards each other is ridiculous. You both need to realize you are bad together, no matter what feelings you THINK you have. Truth is, if you guys really, truly cared for each other you would be together, and not mistreating each other. The last thing his baby needs is parents caught up in their own drama and and whacked out emotional states. Take a step back and look what a horrid mess this entire relationship has been. You guys aren't really in love, or caring for each other. You're used to having each other. You are each others security blankets. Co-dependents on each other. Nothing here show's any form of concern for the other person, only for yourselves.
Not trying to be mean, or critical, just stating what i see.
