COVENANT AND MERCY. NKJV.
1. Deut. 7:9: "Therefore know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments.
2. 1 Kings 8:23: "Lord God of Israel, there is no God in heaven above or on earth below like You, who keep Your covenant and mercy with Your servants who walk before You with all their heart."

While no man knows the day or the hour of the end of time, and the second coming of our Lord God and Saviour Christ, it could be any time that the Father has ordained for it to be. He keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations; and a thousand generations is 40,000 years. God only knows if the world will still be around a thousand generations from now. In any case, Heaven and earth shall pass away, but Christ's words shall by no means pass away.
