Hi all, just an update.
Dad's cancer is stage 2, so not as bad as it could be. The oncologist said people have been known to survive up to 15 years with treatment at this stage with this type of cancer.
We imagined much worse as the specialist described it as level 9 out of 10 aggressive.
He won't start the radiotherapy for a few months, we think to give time for the hormone treatment to have time to work first. He is tired but doing well so far. It is early days though. I am just hoping he turns to Jesus while he has been given a bit of time yet.

Thank you again everyone :)

Thanks for the update. It is good to know that it's not quite as bad as you has imagined it to be in terms of its stage although on its level of aggressiveness it is level 9 our of 10..👍🏻
Yes he would he tired as it a lot for him to take it and naturally is usual life routine has been altered by what's happened.
Good to hear that a person can live a good amount of years and yes most definitely may God grant you father 15 more years of life..'evermore than that'...just like he did to hezekiah in jesus name.🙏🏻😊..his salvation is paramount
Will naturally be remembering him in my prayers plus including the rest of the family too.

This is certainly welcome news. I'll continue to pray for Alan's salvation and medical healing.

If he gets grumpy, give him a break. Hormone treatment can be pretty tough on a guy.

Splagna,I had colon cancer, the doctors gave me 8 months to live. ( John 11:11-27) I got home and said this very word out loud to the Lord.It is never up to men that any should die! So I believe in you Jesus,as you will,I shall follow, whether in life or death period!! It has now been 4 years since they said this to me.

There is no time for fear, only faith. This was my mindset. I pray both comfort and courage, for all involved.( Joshua 1:9, Deut 31:6-7, 2 Tim 1:7, 1 Cor 16:13, Psalm 27:14,Proverbs 3:5-6) I choose God's Word over my situation, I did not hang around people who looked to feel sorry for me,or say How sad they were to hear, well they did not hear that!!

To hear something is one thing as we know!! The Word says that faith cometh by hearing, hearing is one thing, acceptance of what one hears is another! One can choose not to believe if they wish, that is our will involved. I choose to believe and here I am to tell you!! Be strong, fear not!! ONLY BELIEVE!!!!!!( Mark 5:36, and Philip 4:7-9!!) My prayer and blessing in the name of our Lord Jesus rest!!! upon you!

I hope that you are doing okay on your treatment @Splagna. How are things with your situation, only if you want to share of course, I am sure everyone here would be more than happy to pray for your health and peace too. It is nice of others to share and encourage us with healing testimonies, but we do know no two people are guaranteed the same experience or results with anything, even faith. We have to carry the cross we are assigned and we have to trust and say as three heros of the faith said...

Our God is well able to deliver us, BUT even if He does not, we will not bow down and worship anyone but God.

I am paraphrasing of course, but you get the gist lol

The doctor tells me I have metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer. I'm at peace and trusting in the Lord. Y'all's prayers are surely welcome.

My dad as due to begin radio therapy at the start of next month, but due to a delay in his recovering fully from a minor op, this has been put back to January which is naturally causing him some concern as the cancer is the most aggressive of its type. Continued prayers for his salvation ad healing are really appreciated for anyone who feels led to do this.

God bless you all.

Hello to anyone still watching the thread. My dad has just 2 more radical radiotherapy sessions to go. He will have them next week, Monday and Tuesday. He has had to isolate with just my mum for the entire month of treatment because of the covid regulations and with him being in the hospital 5 mornings for treatment every week.

Other than a few episodes of minor sickness, and the tiredness he expected, he has really had no major adverse side effects at all, so thank you all for your prayers for him.

The GP just informed Dad that it may be 4 months before they can be sure of the success of the radiotherapy, and he will likely be continuing with the hormone treatment after this month of treatment is over.

I will let you all know once I know the results. Looking forward to being able to spend a bit of time with my parents, its been a long month.

God bless you all and thanks again :)

A massive thank you to everyone, and especially to the Lord. Dad was given the all clear yesterday and is elated as you can imagine. No sign of his moving towards the Lord but we give thanks for the mercy of God in healing him anyway as we asked. God bless you all and once again, thank you so much. x:)
