In the following verses Jesus is speaking to the Religious people of His day. They think that because of all their wisdom and work that they are better than anyone. They put down and mock and harass others that aren't a part of their tight knit group. Jesus said that the worst sinners would be better off on judgement day than the Religious.
Are the Religious people of today doing the same thing. Are they trying to keep the undesirables out of their Churches so that they don't have to associate with them. After all someone might see them with the low life people.
Just last night the women of two of our churches got together and made gift bags that any young lady would be proud of. Then with help from their Pastors took those gift bags to the Strip Clubs and gave them to the Young Women that danced there and told them that Jesus Loved them too. I think that kind of action was what Jesus was thinking of when He said, "COME TO ME !!!"

23 And Capernaum! Do you think you will reign exalted in heaven? No, you’ll rot in hell. Had I gone to Sodom and worked miracles there, the people would have repented, and Sodom would still be standing, thriving, bustling.
24 Well, you know what happened to Sodom. But know this—the people from Sodom will fare better on the day of judgment than you will.

28 Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Put My yoke upon your shoulders—it might appear heavy at first, but it is perfectly fitted to your curves. Learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble of heart. When you are yoked to Me, your weary souls will find rest.
30 For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.
Matthew 11: 23-24, 28-30 The Voice Bible.

Any time we think we are better than someone else we are in trouble. All have sinned - yes even the Christians and fall short of Gods glory. We all need a Savior. Jesus always reached out to the sinners and his rebukes were mostly for the religious leaders. It's a nice thing your church ladies did with the gifts.

JesusLives, there is no sin in Christ Jesus, if we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. What if we sin after obeying? We era from the truth, and in need of being converted. James 5:19,20.

Not sure where you got that I said Jesus sinned as I know Jesus is sinless. I did say that Christians sin and have fallen short of Gods glory..
