As Born Again Christians our lives should not look like the lives of this World. We are in the World, but we are no longer belong to this World. We should always strive to do what is good, and right in God's eyes. The non Believers that live around are always looking at us trying to catch us doing wrong so that they can say that there is no reason to become a Christian.

11 Dear friends, you are like visitors and strangers in this world. So I beg you to keep your lives free from the evil things you want to do, those desires that fight against your true selves.
12 People who don’t believe are living all around you. They may say that you are doing wrong. So live such good lives that they will see the good you do, and they will give glory to God on the day he comes.

I learned that the word Saint means "set apart".
We are set apart. God's peculiar people. He calls us a treasure.
If we are Christians, we are precious in His sight. And it hurts him when the world begins to influence us, and He is in danger of losing us.
