As a pastor it is hard to watch people day after day make bad decisions that keep their lives in bondage. But we have to be careful not to judge those people as a lost cause and give up on them. God never gave up on us. People want to hear things that make them feel warm and fuzzy, they don't like it when we preach about going through trials and tribulations in life. They want all the good and can't believe troubles still come. It is the job of a Christian to watch, warn, and urge people to follow the teachings of Jesus. Don't quit, never give up being the light in this world of darkness, "I Dare You To Believe" you can make a difference!!!

1-2 I can’t impress this on you too strongly. God is looking over your shoulder. Christ himself is the Judge, with the final say on everyone, living and dead. He is about to break into the open with his rule, so proclaim the Message with intensity; keep on your watch. Challenge, warn, and urge your people. Don’t ever quit. Just keep it simple.

3-5 You’re going to find that there will be times when people will have no stomach for solid teaching, but will fill up on spiritual junk food—catchy opinions that tickle their fancy. They’ll turn their backs on truth and chase mirages. But you—keep your eye on what you’re doing; accept the hard times along with the good; keep the Message alive; do a thorough job as God’s servant.
2 Timothy 4:1-6 The Message Bible.

As a pastor what do you do if you have a member who claims to be a believer, but is living a non Christian lifestyle on a daily basis? What if this person was giving bible studies why on meth, has a horrible reputation around town, but is going around witnessing to everyone. What if they are a compulsive liar and you can see them manipulating everyone they can in the church body for their own personal gain? What if they are in court for allegedly molesting their children and are not allowed visiting rights? How about if this person has women who stay at his house on a regular basis.? has been fired from 2 jobs in the last year for alleged drug usage and was denied unemployment benifits because he tried to claim ui while working under the table somewhere else? What if people are leaving this church because of this persons behavior? I have talked to this person, one on one and they just lie, so have one and 2 other people. I have also talked to the pastor and he said he doesnt want to hear it. I realize God loves this person, and we all sin. he has the same forgiveness I do available. I realize this. thoughts anyone?

I deal with people like the man you are speaking about every day. The Bible says we will be known by our fruit. The fruit that this man seems to be bad. People who claim to be Christian need to produce good fruit, when they don't leadership should sit them down and not let them be part of leadership in the church.
If they repent and start on the road of recovery by the Power of the Holy Spirit then they need to prove them selves by subjecting themselves to God and to follow what Jesus said, Love God and Love others as you Love yourself. If He follows those Commands He will no longer be walking in Sin!!!
