I have read somewhere that it only takes three generations to change a nation's ways. Here where I live we have many Mexican people living here. The first generation spoke no English and knew a lot about Mexican history. Second generation are bi-lingual and knew a little of their culture. By the third generation very few of those children speak Spanish and don't know much about their home land.
So why am I talking about this. Here in America our parents respected and Worshiped God. They prayed daily for their children and made sure they went to church and learned about Jesus and His coming Kingdom.
Now when we had kids this world was beginning to change. we would let the church teach our kids about Jesus and would sometimes go to church if we weren't too tired to go, (after all Sunday was the only day off that we had). The prayers for our children became less and less important to us.
Now hear we are into the third generation who mostly know of Jesus but only worship Him in times of trouble. Prayer is banned in schools and courthouses.Sports are being played on Sunday mornings instead of going to church. Many children don't know the first thing about the Kingdom of God.
Why are things getting worse and worse. God's Blessing is no longer on America. We have in three generations forgotten how this country was built and founded. If we as a nation would Pray, Repent, and turn from our wicked ways, God will hear our prayers and heal our Land. I "DARE YOU TO BELIEVE" !!!
10 After that whole generation died, the next generation grew up. This new generation did not know about the Lord or what he had done for the Israelites.
11 So the Israelites did something very evil before the Lord. They began serving the false god Baal.
12 It was the Lord, the God their ancestors worshiped, who had brought the Israelites out of Egypt. But they stopped following him and began to worship the false gods of the people living around them. This made the Lord angry.
13 The Israelites stopped following the Lord and began worshiping Baal and Ashtoreth.
14 The Lord was angry with the Israelites, so he let enemies attack them and take their possessions. He let their enemies who lived around them defeat them. The Israelites could not protect themselves from their enemies.
15 When the Israelites went out to fight, they always lost. They lost because the Lord was not on their side. He had already warned them that they would lose if they served the gods of the people living around them. The Israelites suffered very much.
Judges 2: 10-15 ERV Bible.
