We all make decisions sometime in our lives. Every choice we make in life will always result in consequences. We make choices of who we make our friends...the choice of what we put in our body...the choice of texting and driving...the choice of whether we want to trust in God, or not.
Sometimes we make choices without even thinking. We might not think about eating something unhealthy, but we do it anyways. We might not think about texting and driving, but do it anyways? And then we suffer the consequences without even thinking about it first. "Hmm this might cost me my life, so I'm going to go ahead and do it." Adrenaline junkies do it all the time, right? People who go skydiving, scuba diving, or possibly even go swimming without a cage surrounded by a crowd of sharks. We always have this fear of dying, but death sometimes isn't an option. If your kidney is failing, you do have the option of getting a kidney transplant, but if you need the transplant you don't have a choice but to wait to get a kidney. If you die, it's not your choice to die in that position. Isn't that divine appointment by God?
There are many theories and theologian beliefs on predestination, Calvinism and such...but honestly, why are we just sitting around waiting for something glorious to happen when it's our decision to make something like this happen? Why can't we get up off our comfy recliner and go out and do something that is way beyond what we are used to? Why can't we step out of our comfort zones?
Something else we don't have the choice or control over...getting hurt and rejected. I have been friend zoned and hurt by stupid boys my entire life. Is it because I'm not attractive? No. The guys who don't want to date me choose not to date me because they don't want to deal with the consequences of having to put up with respecting my morals or they aren't attracted to me or my personality.
We make decisions every single day...but the real question is...
What decisions will you make?
