Getting a better job is easier said than done. You can't get a better job if an employer won't hire you. Not everyone has the ability to create their own business, either.
Jesus can and will get us a job and even a career. What is impossible with us mere humans with no resources whatsoever IS possible with Jesus with every resource available to Him and therefore He makes available to us His beloved. I was 55 with no real job skills and no hope of getting any... and Jesus provided a series of miracles that only He could do. Supernatural.
When I stopped depending on my mere human abilities and began resting (there is a rest for the people of God) that is when God began working in my life. I did enough worrying and striving for a life time and it got me confusion., emptiness and shame.
When we work..... God rests. When we rest.... God works. Worry for nothing... but in everything by prayer and supplication make your requests known unto God.. leaning your whole human personality on Him... not only will He give you peace but He will direct your paths and lead you to where you need to go. He gives peace in the process as well. He supplies every need even peace as we wait.
Not because of our being good enough or for our earning it but because of Jesus who IS good enough and who is standing in for us.
Phil.4:6
