Anyone here know anything about the New Analytical Dickson Bible, KJV, published by the John A. Dickson Pub. Co. of Chicago? I'd like to know why Dickson Bibles are so much in demand. Are there any CC members presently using Dickson Bibles?

I have a couple. The 1950, and the 1973 version. I think they are compareable to the Thompson chain bible, as far as the references and ease of use. They were pretty popular and highly suggested to us when i was in seminary school. It has great cross referencing and is extremely useful if you mean to set up a sermon.

Other than that, I can say the leather bound versions are very well made books.

I can attest to the quality and ease of use, one feature that I find unique and helpful is the alternate translation within the KJV text, sort of a clarification that guides in the interpetation process. There is also many useful helps and introduction to each book of the bible with short commentary. I have two of these bibles the 1950 and 1973. Both are in genuine leather and are extremely well made. They are also one of the most expensive bibles on the market, when you can find one, it usually runs between $200.00 to well over $400.00
