The justification of polygamy is that Abraham and Moses and David and Solomon had multiple wives and they were the patriarchs of our faith, the ones we hear about most in the Bible. However, just because they were caught up in sinful things and God didn't kill them is not a testimony to His approval...rather, it is a testimony to His patience.
We think that if we sin and God lets us live that we must be okay. Not true. God's original plan is one man and one woman joined in marriage. Not two men or two women or one man and seven women or one woman and two men. God said that the two become one. Not the seven become one.
