2 Timothy 4: 1I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; 2Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. 3For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. 5But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry. 6For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. 7I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 8Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. 9Do thy diligence to come shortly unto me:
As for honouring fairys... as a believer, we can only honour God in one way:
John 5:22For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: 23That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.
That is how we honour God the Father by honouring God the Son. When any believer honour anything or anyone else in respect to God, they are not honouring the Father.
We are not to even honour angels...
Colossians 2:18Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, 19And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God. 20Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,
So if we are not to have voluntary humility, thus honouring in worshipping of angels, how much more are we not to do to fairys or any other unseen creature?
As for worrying about her faith being overthrown....
2 Timothy 2:11It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him: 12If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:
13If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself. 14Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers. 15Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
2 Timothy 2:18Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some. 19Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. 20But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. 21If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work. 22Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
As to what to do about your friend: if the above prophesy doesn't warn her about how some will depart from the faith to fables... and insist on honouring fairys that did not show any greater love than what Christ has shown us... then maybe she should see that as much as she did not like the way she was treated, she is doing it to Jesus now. People will betray us and disappoint us, but He never will. He is the Bridegroom.. our first love. She should seek first the Kingdom of God, and then anything else would be just that.. a fairytale... as in moot.
2 Timothy 2:23But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes. 24And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, 25In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; 26And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.
Books that were left out of the Bible for a reason. For the lost Books of Enoch, Jesus said that angels are not marrying nor given in marriage.
Matthew 22:29Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. 30For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.
Paul led by the Holy Spirit, testified that there are two different kinds of bodies. This also proves that angels, fallen or otherwise, cannot mate with mankind for they were not created to do so as God has ordained that only kind can reproduce after their own kind.
1 Corinthians 15: 38But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body. 39All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds. 40There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.
Since angels are not marrying nor given in marriage, the sons of God were taking wives and so they were not angels but of the godly lineage of Seth from Adam. We read about the sons of God's lineage in Luke.
Luke 3: 38Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God.
As Eve is named by Adam as the mother of all the living... there can be no other intelligent races on the earth.
Genesis 3:20 And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.
God meant for man to have dominion over all living things.
Genesis 1: 25And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good. 26And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
So we are not to honour nor worship angels which are not seen and so that includes all lesser forms "imaginary or otherwise" beneathe them as well as beings that might have been since man was created to have dominion over all living things and thus now that we have a relationship with God thanks to Jesus Christ, it should be obvious where our devotions should be at... our Bridegroom.. our first love.
Nothing can be inbetween us and Jesus for that is a thief by His word. We either go directly to God through the Son, or not at all.
John 10: 7Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. 8All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. 9I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. 10The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. 11I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
1 Timothy 2:5For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
John 10: 1Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.
Hopefully that will deal with the fairytales and the honouring of them part as that would only dishonour the Son.
Your friend should be encouraged to read the scriptures if she wants to honour Jesus at all to know how to honour Him and how one does not honour Him.
John 5: 39Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. 40And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life. 41I receive not honour from men. 42But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you. 43I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive. 44How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only? 45Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust. 46For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me; for he wrote of me. 47But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?
So the lost books were dropped for a reason as they were contrary to the rest of the Bible. They were never a part of the Old Testament and as far as the new goes, the four Gospel and the epistles all agree with one another as far as the King James Bible goes... but the lost books draw away from them and the Old Testament altogether.
Since the scriptures are about testifying of Jesus Christ to to help present us as a chaste bride to Christ, keeping the faith is the good fight as in keeping the relationship we have with God through the Bridegroom. There is no greater love shown to your friend than what Jesus has shown. We love because He loved us first so why settle for less which would only dishonour the Son?
I shall pray for your friend and hope God may peradventure give her knowledge unto repentance.
