• Act 16:25 -> “And toward midnight Paul and Silas prayed and praised God in a hymn. And the prisoners listened to them.”.
E when the apostles were beaten:
• Act 5:40,41 -> “And they obeyed him. And calling the apostles, beating them, they commanded not to speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go. Then indeed they departed from the presence of the sanhedrin, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to be shamed for His name.”.
The truth is that, for those who are in Christ, the standard of elation is different:
• 2Co 1:12 -> “For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity; not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God; we have had our conduct in the world, and more abundantly toward you.”.
• Rom 12:12 -> “rejoicing in hope, patient in affliction, steadfastly continuing in prayer,
And, of course, this makes them special:
• 2Co 6:10 -> “as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, yet possessing all things.”.
If these people stay in Jesus’ relish even in the hard times, behold the promise:
• Joh 16:22 -> “And therefore you now have sorrow. But I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.
Not to mention that:
• Pro 17:22 -> “A merry heart does good like a medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones.
So, have a good day don’t consent that anybody nor anything can rob Jesus’ presence from you.
