Dancing is defined as generally referring to movement of the body usually rythmic and to music. But to me, its much more than that.

Even as a baby, my parents have seen me swaying and clapping my hands(uncoordinated as it may be) to any music I'd hear. Even when the ice cream truck passed by, I'd begin to sway and fling my hands up in the air. Dance was a part of my life early on. When I was 12, one of the members of the church invited me to attend a dance training, my parents gave me a go and so soon after I became a member of the Dance Ministry of our church. Whatever am feeling, whether mad, happy or sad. I would go inside my room, lock the door, open the radio and dance until all of my worries, frustrations and anger slip away.

When I was 14, a childhood friend of mine suddenly collapsed while playing basketball. A boy who loved to tease and yet he would make sunday school fun and exciting. So healthy, and full of life. And in an instant, he was gone. At his necrological service- we, his childhood friends who were also members of the Youth Ministry danced "Lord, I offer my life". Every move and step I took, was too painful to make. But when I heard the part of the song saying, "what do we have that you have not given, what do we ask that is not already yours, all we possess are these lives we're living, AND THATS WHAT WE GIVE TO YOU LORD..."

Our friend, gave his life, though short as it may be, to our LORD. And when I danced that day, I too, decided that every dance I make, everything I do, will be for the glory of our dear Lord JESUS.

AMEN!! AMEN!!!

I know this dancing. The worship that comes out of us to the glory of God, can not even be fully expressed in dance, nor in song. Our spirit LONGS to worship in truth!!! David tried to dance that way, and he danced himself right out of his clothes. I say that he would have danced himself right out of his body if he could have. What a praise!! WHAT A PRAISE!! A praise of the spirit to God, that desires to be with God. What a worship!!!

May Jesus bless you.

It is so joyous, fun , releasing to dance freely and truly with all your heart and soul.
I danced once like a "puppet on a string" there was no soul, no spirit.t was no real dance.I was like a programed robot, a empty body.
Have experienced true dancing a few times (alone in apartment I danced till sweat squirted from me).Now my body is tense, uptight and hope it will release some time to dance for the Lord and for the joy and to share that with others.
To be "filled" is a extatic feeling as is the dance and may it be love and may it be true.
May I never dance the silly way i did , for it was no good.
How wonderful to get expression and "outlet" through your dance.
Good for you."thats the spirit" ;)
Love and God Bless to you

There was some discussion a little while ago about the intellectually impaired. This is one way they worship with all that they are, and some of them do it beautifully.

The music plays throughout the day, and I can step so sweetly.

In Him I find all I am, and in His love completely.

When I read your testimony I couldn't help but think about King David dancing before the Lord in joy, worship, triumph in his love of God. A God who was with him while he tended his father's flocks, a God who went before him when he picked up the stones that later killed the giant a God who forgive him when he sinned!

Worship to God in it's many forms is as a sweet smelling incense to God. It is pleasing and true. Worship is pure adoration of a Holy God worthy, great, merciful and worthy! It is good to know that God is pleased!

I know how you are feeling dancingfortheLord. As a child I used to love dancing and singing, my mother said that I was the best one doing this among my other sisters. Even when I played I made my own songs, made a theatrical act involving own made dances, and own made songs as well as drama speeches. This is also why I love musicals so much, and my most inner dream was to getting involved into a musical theater setting. It is still a part of my dream now too, as long as God wants me to, and leads me into it.

I have been watching a music video of Dj Bobo titled Freedom; Every time I watch this I am longing so much to getting involved into something having dancing, singing and acting into it. It is just something I have always loved doing, and I wish using everything God has given me for His glory. When I was younger and I went out to dancing with friends(I was the kinda person that never did drink, nor do anything foolish, I only loved to be dancing with a lot of joy), I remember I have got comments like; "Do you go to a dancing school? Do you attend ballet lessons?" etc... And I only told them; "I have learned everything mostly myself". :)

God bless you, and keep on using what the Lord has given you for His glory, and do it all with immense joy!
