Pray in whatever way YOU feel brings you closest to God.
We are told to pray always, that would include doing it when cooking, shopping, driving etc, so I don't think He is preoccupied with what position you are in, as long as your heart is in it :)

Thanks kilden :)
I've been wondering about that also. But when we are in our rooms, should we pray on our knees, when we're not busy?

It seems like only children on movies pray like that. I Know it's not true, of course, but should we do it to give Him more time? Besides when we have an urgent want or need in our life?

I would have to say it depends on where your at, if at home I say pray on your knees, because it shows humility and loyatly towards God. If at work or school its ok to sit and pray.

It doesn't matter. I've heard of some people doing it because it helps them focus, or keep from falling asleep. Or at times people may feel compelled to during prayer. But to make a point of doing it to make your prayers more effective, no. It has no bearing.

I remember one time when I was praying, I started out sitting on my bed with my eyes closed. I remember getting annoyed and angry. So, I stood, but I was still in prayer. I remember just talking and venting because I had no one that will listen. I started shouting and yelling on my feet. I wanted so much to cry, but my annoyance overtook my sorrow. I was praying in frustration up until I found myself knees bent to my bed asking for more strength.

You know, I honestly think it's all on you and your heart when you communicate with Him in prayer.

I think the important thing is noticing the difference between active and passive prayer. By passive prayer I mean the prayers you do if your head where you just say a few things to God, and active prayer being where you stop whatever you are doing and pray for specific things out loud. I think it's important to do both.

Do you mean that kneeling helps to get a job, a friend, a house... and any stuff you can think of?

No matter I'll be cut to the HEART (knealt), God does what He does, although He sees what I want He to see (if He likes)

The effectiveness comes from Him, not from the one asking. The end result can be changed, but not by my kneeling.

I'm sure Jesus begged, on His knees, not to go to that cross.

The best way to pray is from the example Christ gave us. Off by yourself, in intimacy with God. And from there its a personal experience.
