Don’t only live the righteousness; sow it!

  • “The wicked makes a deceitful wage; but one sowing righteousness has a sure reward.” (Proverbs 11:18).

First of all, what is righteousness? It is to walk with Christ without veering:

1 - To the left or to the right (Joshua 1:7). We need to abide by the commandments of the Creator without add (in order to try to look more spiritual than the others – see Col 2:16-23) or subtract something (to make easy the walking with Christ, turning Jesus’ grace into licentiousness – Judas 1:4).

2 - Upward (Ps 131:1; Luke 16:15). One of the things that the Creator abhors is uppish eyes (Ps 18:27; Prov 6:17; 21:4; Isaiah 2:11), that is to say, eyes that look on being superior to the other people or that aims something that can make them superior to the other ones.

3 - Downward.

  • “So let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.” (1Co 10:12).

Only go down if it is to humble under the Creator’s powerful hand (James 5:5-7). Only go to the valley of the shadow of death if Jesus lead you to there in order to rescue a lost sheep (Ps 23:4; Luke 15:4-7).

Not try to pretend a humbleness or meekness that isn’t in your nature. May our acts be pursuant to our faith (1Peter 4:11):

  • “For also we have had the gospel preached, as well as them. But the Word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it.” (Heb 4:2).

Finally, don’t drawing back:

  • “And another also said, Lord, I will follow You, but first allow me to take leave of those in my house. And Jesus said to him, No one, having put his hand to the plow and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” (Luke 9:61,62).
  • “Now, "the Just shall live by faith. But if he draws back, My soul shall have no pleasure in him. But we are not of those withdrawing to destruction, but of those who believe to the preserving of the soul.” (Heb 10:38,39).
  • “In that day he who shall be on the housetop, and his goods in the house, let him not come down to take them away. And likewise, he who is in the field, let him not return to the things behind. Remember Lot's wife.” (Luke 17:31,32).

So, have a good day being an inspiration so that nobody feels to be inferior, nor wish of being superior, let alone consider swerving of the standard established by the Creator only to be accepted by their neighbor or colleagues.
