If a son or a daughter sees his parent sin a sin, which is against what Jesus teaches. They should not follow their parents in the sin, no matter how much they love them, because God will not judge you by what your parent did, but by what you did. For this reason, division will come between families, mother and daughter, father and son, son and mother, daughter and father.
The Lord will hold each person accountable for it.
If you are a parent, teach your children in the right way, and not after the ways of this world, because they will be judged with this world. But teach them to obey Jesus Christ, and to keep his commands. Also, be an example to them, in PATIENCE, and in TEMPERANCE, unless you want to be judged by it.
Many parents have forsaken Jesus in letting their children partake in things that they know is wrong to do, and have thereby caused a great offense.
Instead, children, pray for your parents, that the Lord will by you show the light of Jesus Christ, and his love and his temperance, and his holiness, and his righteousness, denying what is wrong, and clinging tightly onto that which is good, and just, and pure, and holy.
Children, if you must suffer for this, praise the Lord, but don't boast against your parents. Be patient and kind, and obey them when you know it is good to do. Even if they use you, bare it, and show the patience of Christ, and the Temperance. This will be the greatest witness of your faith, if you also obey Jesus, in love unfeigned.
