I hope it gains quick success and becomes national quickly. The problem I can foresee now is that Cali has an abundance of crude oil and a water shortage. It may be the worst pilot state unless it goes back to the water desaltation plan but I can remember when the only working desaltation plant in Chula Vista was sold to Iran.
The cars are to much for my pocket, but it seems they are expanding stations in Cali, speaking of here’s a vid of some dude testing a hydro car driving 900 miles on the coast of Cali haha..

I think alternate fuel powered hybrid cars is the most logical next step. The railroad industry has been successfully using Diesel~electric technology since before I was born. Now we have bio diesel, Ethanol, Propane and CNG. All would be a better alternative than hydrocarbon based fuel.
speaking on trains, some southern states have diesel and switch to electric in the northern states,, why not the whole railway electric hahaha.

I remember that. Ford even built I think about 400 hydrogen powered cars And gave them to politicians in DC. Water was the main source of hydrogen but that was quickly squashed.
oil companies hate em fot the fuel but many dont realize that car companies depend on car service for at least 30-40 percent of their money. electric cars cut maintenence by 60-70 percent.

I thank God for fossil fuels, and don't think we should be burning our food for energy.
Well said.
Look up and research the devastation of tropical jungles and tropical agriculture in order to produce the very profitable
PALM OIL - another ubiquitous food additive ( also destroying the orangutans of Borneo, etc.)
if the food product label lists 'vegetable oils' it is most probably palm oil.

Anyway in the end it doesn't matter.
We are a moment away from war in the Middle East and Armageddon.
Nobody is going to care about ethanol.
Bottled drink water will become the most valuable liquid on Earth.

Yes a 1/5th century of working on cars and an education in automobile and hydrocarbon emissions and air pollution has taught me that service after sales and planned obsolesce are keys to revolving door sales and service.

It's like drug companies. Why manufacture a cure that dosn't require further treatments when they can manufacture constant treatments that don't cure? The cure would not create any permanent customers. That's not how pushers work!

Since 1921, Ethyl Corporation has provided chemical manufacturing and supply solutions to enhance the performance of products across diverse industries. Our more than 95 years of experience in worldwide chemical manufacturing means we are ready with the solutions you need today... Propaganda!

In 1925, Ethyl Gasoline Corporation was formed by General Motors and Standard Oil Company of New Jersey. The added ethyl produced a higher octane level, and produced a cleaner gasoline for the engine. That advancement in fuel efficiency was one more asset to the prosperous GM company. Among other products, Ethyl Corporation distributes tetraethyllead, an additive used to make leaded gasoline.

Most people don’t realize that we knew in the 1920s that leaded gasoline was extremely dangerous. It looks at the connection between leaded gasoline and crime rates in the United States, I thought it might be worth reviewing that history.

In the fall of 1924, five bodies from New Jersey were delivered to the New York City Medical Examiner’s Office. You might not expect those out-of-state corpses to cause the chief medical examiner to worry about the dirt blowing in Manhattan streets. But they did.

To understand why you need to know the story of those five dead men, or at least the story of their exposure to a then mysterious industrial poison.

The five men worked at the Standard Oil Refinery in Bayway, New Jersey. All of them spent their days in what plant employees nicknamed “the loony gas building”, a tidy brick structure where workers seemed to sicken as they handled a new gasoline additive. The additive’s technical name was tetraethyl lead or, in industrial shorthand, TEL. It was developed by researchers at General Motors as an anti-knock formula, with the assurance that it was entirely safe to handle.

They knew it was poison in the 1920's but some college nerds at Cal Tech Pasadena, discovered that lead pollution in bones that shouldn't have been there came from the AC system and was compromising the tests.

So they tested the air and fish from the sea as well as costal surface and deep water. As a result leaded gasoline was banned but the truth was never told that it caused insanity especially among inner city children exposed leaded air!

The automotive and fossil fuel industries are not our friends!

safety glass, seatbelts, anti lock breaks, and most any other safety feature was always fought against by auto companies. just as the train companies fought against them 50 years before. we cant let saving lives get in the way of the profits. capitalism at its finest!

capitalism at its finest!
the problem is sin !
human nature is inherently selfish that is self serving > hence Capitalism works well.
The gospel is contrary to this and is about denying self and serving others - love, compassion, sharing ...
the problem still today and always has been despite the very best of spiritual sentiments most "Christians" are still
very worldly ... that is they enjoy all the rewards of Capitalism and personal wealth, indeed even mark it as sign of how
much they are blessed.

capitalism is all about the magic of the free market with no government interference. we dont have that today but we did 100 years ago, 16 hr work days, 6-7 days a week, no safety to be found, lose a limb and your fired and your family starves to death, company thugs to crack heads when anyone complained, they even sent children to work in these dangerous places. we still have a few places in the world with pure capitalism, Philippians and Nigeria to name a few. and in those places capitalism could not be working any better its designed to work well but only for the few, complete agony for the masses.

the problem is sin
it don't matter if it's capitalism or communism or socialism or social welfare blended economies
the world is a mess and corrupt and vile before God.
there may be lesser forms of evil and some degree of worldly righteousness but in the end everything that sinful peoples do
is tainted, polluted and corrupted due to our sin nature.

when Jesus comes back and the government is upon his shoulder he will rule and reign with absolute authority …
And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.
Reve 2:27 from Psalm 2:9

I have often wondered what the world and our economy will revert to? A pre-industrial cottage industries age where a pair of
shoes shall be fashioned by a cobbler, your kitchen cupboards made by your local carpenter joiner.
Will we revert to the tailor shop, the tinsmith and the farmers' market?
Back to horse and cart?

I really don't care because only the saved will be left. Jesus will be in charge and everyone will contribute out of love. There will be no politics or need for war. We won't be hungry, tired, angry, lonely or feel lost any more. Everyone will know Gods in charge.
