I have heard a number of people saying that Jesus said that there would be earthquakes in places that never had them before.

Just wanted to address that really quick and this seems to be an appropriate place.

Jesus said "diverse" places. Different places. Not different as in somewhere different than before (although this is happening to), but different from one place to another. In other words, MANY places.
 
Oh I agree, there are a lot of people on this site who get super crazy obsessed with earthquakes news, so I thought I'd just leave this here. Nonetheless, earthquakes are natural occurrences, and I think we'll just know the different between the naturally occurring earthquakes and the 'shocker' ones. Those are the ones to be concerned with. I live in Toronto and those are unheard of here. A few off ones but nbd, you know?
