Hey everyone.

Just got the news -Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wodeyar Bahadur, the eighth and the last King of the Mysore Royal Family, breathed his last in Bangalore on Tuesday. He died of a heart attack in a city hospital.

He did a lot to promote culture, history and economics of Karnataka.

He was also the last of the royal family. There's a tinge of sadness, because everything , from the Mysore Palace, to all the customs is such a big part of our beautiful culture.

Maybe I am romanticizing everything, but it feels like the end of an era.

oh and there's something interesting about the King and the royal family, is that there's a curse on the Wodeyar family?

Something which causes them to worship all sorts of stuff during Dasara Celebrations...

It's just interesting. Anyone knows more about this, then love to hear. :)
