Isa 28 here a little, and there a little, with stammering lips will he speak, a consumption determined upon the whole earth.

Summary II, other translations considered

Here we should look at time scale & alternative translation. The first obvious pseudeym in the bible is that of the Earth's creation in seven days, now looking very much like a sign , right there at the begining of the Bible, how long is a day? Then we hear in a psalm that a thousand years is as a day to the Lord & vice versa. When we get to Prophetic Biblical material regarding things which are known to have come to pass, we can understand other pseudeym. The Woman of Rev.12 commonly believed to represent the Church is nourished for "a time, and times, and half a time" see also:

Daniel 12:11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

Daniel 7:25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

Revelation 11:2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months

In Rev. 11:2, 42 months is 3.5 years, or a time, times & half a time. Can this be taken as the same duration that the woman is nourished away from the serpent? of course not, more concealment then. In Dan. 12:11 a thousand two hundred and ninety days, is 3.5 years. Related? complete stories are scattered throughout one chapter or book & even another book (Daniel & Revelation are closely related). The daily sacrifice is likely to have been stopped at any period of 3.5 units of time from the time of the desolation (commonly believed to be any time now). Days between the ceastion of the ancient sacrifice & the desolation of the Earth must represent something other than 24 hrs, As we saw with the creation of the Earth. We are looking at either 3.5 weeks, years, hundred years or Millenia . The Exodus was 3.5 Millenia ago 1500BC, which might have caused a disruption to their daily sacrifice. When Moses returned from the mountain the Jews were worshiping a golden calf. I can't find any other disruptive event using units of 3.5

De-Cipher

Daniel 9:2 In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.
Gathering bits & pieces related to each other, clearly & as Isaiah stated deliberatly concealed, is to disentangle a cipher too much for a reading analyst without simplification. Where the relevant text reads the same it's better to use a simplified translation for time scale than the KJV.

Messiah the prince which is to come
KJV

Daniel 9:25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

NKJV

Daniel 9:25 “Know therefore and understand, That from the going forth of the command To restore and build Jerusalem Until Messiah the Prince, There shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; The street[c] shall be built again, and the wall,[d] Even in troublesome times.

26 “And after the sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself; And the people of the prince who is to come Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end of it shall be with a flood, And till the end of the war desolations are determined.

27 Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; But in the middle of the week He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, Even until the consummation, which is determined, Is poured out on the desolate.”

Christians set up the abomination of desolation

Those expecting the second coming of a Messiah, also known as a prince can only interpret the NKJV, with it's additional "until" as refering to Christ. What else is interesting about this is that the people of the prince which is to come (Christians) set up the abomination of desolation that we hear about in other parts of the story, scattered throughout the book of Daniel.

There is another interest in Daniel 9, until Messiah the prince means until the second coming there are 69 weeks from the command to restore Jerusalem, or years or hundred years. This is believed by some to be the 69th year of a key figure, Messiah having been cut off in their 62nd year.

Daniel 9:25 the going forth of the command To restore and build Jerusalem. There is a C of E document showing a link to the throne of David, which claims a legitimate British descendant for the throne at Jerusalem. It dates to just after the war, during British mandate in Israel. it's not possible to publish it here for political reasons. This is an abbreviated version, source unknown:

Satan manifest

The little horn of Daniel 7 & 8 is peculiar, because horns like crowns or wings usually represent a ruler or king. This horn has the same history as Satan in Revelation 12:

Dan 8:10 And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them. 11 Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of the sanctuary was cast down.

  • Casts stars to the ground, Rev 12:4
  • Exhalted himself to the prince of the host (Michael), Rev12:7
  • His sanctuary was cast down, Rev12:8
Similarly the Dragon cast down in Rev 12, that is Satan, becomes a collection of kings of the Earth in Rev 13. When speaking about the Dragon or it's parts we can either be speaking about the spirit of Satan or the exact match of his manifestation among men, in the proper time.

Four global kingdoms

Daniel 7:17 These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth.

22% of translations say four kingdoms, others say kings representing kingdoms

Daniel 11:2 introduces us to 4 consecutive Grecian kings, one of whom's kingdom is divided into four larger parts, it's difficult to tell from the opening of Daniel 11 whether the fourth king who's kingdom is divided four ways is represented by Persia or Grecia. In Daniel 8 these later four kingdoms come out of divided "grecia". Daniel 11:4 is as Daniel 8:8 identifying these four as the global quaters of the Earth.

The four global kingdoms of Dan 7 are also recognisable at the end of the Ram & goat in Dan 8, due to the little horn belonging to the fourth appearing in both. Working back from the current situation, the last major global division of land was following WWII, making the four kingdoms of Dan 7 & 8 quarters of post second world war Earth, if we live at the time of the end now.

Fourth Kingdom upon the Earth

We see the four kingdoms of the Earth of Daniel 7 (Lion, Leopard, Bear & beast) also in Revelation 6.

Rev6:2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.

Rev6:4 And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.

Rev6:5 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.

Two of the three are reported to be unsavoury. In Daniel 7 Dominion was given to the beast which looked like a Leopard, probably the crown in Rev 6:2. The other beast which kills is the Bear, having the great sword then in Rev 6:4. Leaving the beast like a Lion, a man's heart in Daniel & scales in Revelation (represent justice). That's not to say that the other two are not just, they're reported as killing. It's the fourth kingdom upon the which Earth get's nasty. Commonly refered to as the beast or dragon in Daniel & Revelation & as Satan.

Revelation 6:8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

Black, white, red & non specific coloured also appear In Zechariah 6 , the black represent peaceful kingdoms in both accounts, NKJV:

Zechariah 6:5 And the angel answered and said to me, “These are four spirits of heaven, who go out from their station before the Lord of all the earth. 6 The one with the black horses is going to the north country, the white are going after them, and the dappled are going toward the south country.” 7 Then the strong steeds went out, eager to go, that they might walk to and fro throughout the earth. And He said, “Go, walk to and fro throughout the earth.” So they walked to and fro throughout the earth. 8 And He called to me, and spoke to me, saying, “See, those who go toward the north country have given rest to My Spirit in the north country.”

Parrable in Daniel

At least one of the non end days stories in Daniel looks like a parable concerned with events of the day & at the same time events at the end Dan 4, the flourishing tree cut to a stump by a holy one of heaven.
Other stories for consideration:

The golden image (worship it or be burned), Dan3

Writting on the wall, Dan5 *

Daniel in the den of lions, Dan 6

Ram & the Goat, Dan 8 *

* Mention of Media & Persia link these stories. Grecia & Persia had kingdoms at the time of Daniel & represent Modern kingdoms in Daniel 11.
