Please read this verse from the Bible:

From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." Matt 4:17 RSV

Heaven, I believe, is not a place. It is what your life becomes when you stop sinning. (The place we spend eternity is the resurrection.)

Are you guilty of unchastity? Are you guilty of insobriety or use of other addictive substances? Are you guilty of pride? Are you guilty of failing to love the Lord with all your heart, mind, and soul? Are you guilty of any other sin? If so, knock it off and enter the kingdom of heaven.

Is heaven a life with total peace, contentment, and security, or is heaven a pretty place?

I hope you are not into the heresy of perfectionism. Although a christian does not "live" in sin (Rom.6:2), it does not mean that he is sin free (Rom.7:14-25). Happily enough, God does not see our sin when we are in Christ, He only see Christ's perfect righteousness, which we have had imputed to us. This is our position in Him, just as we are positionally seated in heaven with Him (Eph.2:4-10). This however does not mean that we are sin free.

The only way to get to something that can be said to be literally and dispositionally sin free is to redefine what the law of God actually says about sin. But that would of course be false as it would ultimately be to justify sin. Let us instead confess our sin and receive due absolution for it (Jam.5:15-16). Let us also forsake sin and do better in repentance (Heb.12:1). But let us not deceive ourselves and think for a moment that we are or can be totally sin free (1John1:7-10) other than in our position in the truly sin free sin-bearer, Jesus Christ. Amen.

When we sin we bring trouble into our lives. When we stop sinning, we put an end to that. This isn’t rocket science.

LOL. True. But sinlessness is another thing. And, as someone else pointed out elsewhere, the enemy will do his best to put people who are repentant in trouble.

The enemy might try to get us into trouble, and he might succeed, but we are still at peace when we do the Lord’s will.
