I am going through a rough time in my life after a divorce. Next month will make the divorce 1 year but it's been extremly difficult with kids involved. It was cheating & abuse done by my spouse that led to my life & kids' lives being torn apart. I have not been able to get back on my feet after the divorce. My kids & I have had to go without food some days & money. I have been praying that God saves my husband & restore the marriage, but I feel like I am on the point of just giving up. The father comes & go out our lives every since the divorce. This has caused my oldest child to have emotional outburst from all the trauma. Im wondering if I should stop praying for restoration & try to move on with my kids. Its hard now. I need guidance & also a decent job. Please pray for us. Thank you & God bless you.----Shanti

I am praying for you and your children. Just remember that God commands us to forgive people.I know what he did was wrong, but that still doesn't mean you aren't supposed to forgive. God bless you!

Hi, I am sorry to hear of your current dilemma. Do you belong to a local Church? I like to encourage not to go through this alone but seek help in all areas. Avail yourself to let the Church reach out to your family, especially in finances. At the same time, for yourself if you can, connect with close girlfriends for support and encouragement.

Currently, my wife and I are reaching out to a woman with similar problem. We exchange encouragement SMS and it has helped her and her two kids greatly (her husband has left them).

Thank you Bobby King for your concern. I currently am in church and I have been getting involved with different positions in the church whether it's Sunday school, the choir, or just going to help clean up. This has helped me. My family and few friends have been of great support. Its just that when I am around people I feel better, but when I get home, me and the kids are alone. That's when I am faced with my problems and it starts to hit me pretty hard. I pray and feel good for few days, then I go back into a depression mode. I'm fighting this off. I don't want to be this person and asking God daily for strength. I will be soon fasting. I want to increase my faith and rely solely upon God.

My heart and prayers are with you in Jesus Christ is Lord.
I remember how my own mom struggled when she went through this with my father.
He left her with more than 10 children to raise alone.
I watched as her struggle turned into glory in Jesus through faith.
She raised all of us against many hardships, but always held all in hope through faith.
She raised not only us, but many more children in her life, so many I can not count, but Jesus turned sorrow into joy for her.
This Joy, brought many to healing in Jesus.
And all to see Jesus's love in her and recieve Jesus.
All , becuase she lived the love of Jesus.
My prayers are with you from this day forward in Jesus Christ is Lord, because I know and saw, how great His love is for those who trust in Him. :)

Hugs and God bless.

Hi
That's a very very powerful testimony!!! I am very encouraged by that!! I truly salute your Mom!!! And you know what, I truly believe people like your Mom will be the ones at the front when one day, Jesus gives out the rewards for faithfulness and hard work.

Press on, my dear sister in the Lord, and know in your heart that many, including people in this forum, are praying for you! Nehemiah 8:10, 'The Joy of the Lord is your strength!'...

Hang in there, trust that God will do more than you ask, He is more than able to meet all your needs. Don't be ashamed to ask the church for help in any need. Praying for you shanti. 

I agree with those telling you to find a church. Ask for help, don't be shy, many want to help with food and even money. Avail yourself of all the help you can, Catholic Charities type organizations too can help. God bless. And don't be ashamed to ask for help from the State temporarily to get back on your feet; food stamps help many. Sometimes we must swallow our pride to make it.

My mother stayed married to my father, and the four kids lived in a house with abuse. Not only did he physically and mentally abuse her, but us kids went through hell too. It was harder for us to watch him hurt her, than it was to take the blunt of the force our selves. I was very lucky to be invited to
church at age 5 ( where I got saved). I truly believe God is what helped me with hope for the future. My father did not change until the last five years of his life. He lived to be 75. Good news is he did apologize, and then told us why he ran away from home at age 15. (I never got to know my abusive grandpa.) I prayed for my dad for years, and it was not until I completely forgave him until the changes came. One thing I tell everyone is to pray for wisdom! And God will give it to you. In His Service, Shekaniah

Thank you Shekaniah and may God bless you. I am sorry for what you went through and saw as a child. I'm happy to know that you did get saved, to know the Lord and that you got to make amends with your father. ....It took me months long months to forgive my spouse, but I did. I even told him and I prayed to God for guidance and to come into his heart. He is mean at times and nice at other times willing to spend time with the kids, happy to see them and then, next week, he says don't bring them I don't have time for them. He may ask me to bring them by to see him and then when I arrive he would not be home after telling me to bring them. He will start arguments out of nowhere for no reason. Others asked me if he was abusing drugs or bipolar. I have no idea, but I just lean and give it all to God. He is the only one that can fix it. Right now I'm just focusing on God and remaining prayerful whilst fasting. Please keep us in your prayers and God bless.
