Everyone, once again we were in the Bible Study room chatting and inspiration struck. What is your favorite book of the Bible in the Old Testament and in the New Testament and WHY?

Please answer why and remember this is not a specific verse but a specific book of the Bible that speaks to you in both the Old Testament and New Testament.

In the Old Testament I love the book of Esther. It has so much historical value and you can dig so much into it if you do the research on the places and names of those in that book. I did a presentation on Ether for my Historical Books class in Bible College and I just learned so much. Its a great story, full of inspiration and power and just all around good reading.
In the New Testament I love the book of Acts, Also studied that Book as a whole class in BIble College, it is so full of powerful words and stories, so much history of Paul's travels and it just makes for great reading, it is a powerful book, i just absolutely enjoyed it.
 
For me, in the Old Testament its the book of Proverbs. The book of Proverbs gives hope, healing, faith, wisdom, and grace to any who read it.

In the New Testament, its the book of John. Of the disciples I think his version is the most involved and the most interesting in how it is phrased and written. It tells the greatest story ever told. Has the greatest two of the greatest verses in the Bible, and I just love it.

My favorite book of the OT is Ecclesiastes - and I like it because I can identify with it (and i love the poetry).

NT... ehhh, Romans? Because I get excited about the heavy doctrine displayed in there!
 
I do like Ecclesiastes, Soloman had some interesting stuff in there, although with his theme of everything is meaningless... I do enjoy Chapter 3, where it talks about to everything there is a season, a time and a purpose to everything under heaven... that is my favorite part of the book...

Romans is awesome too, yeah very heavily into doctrine and the law... it gets deep :-)
