Mark chapter 12, verses 28 to 35. It is a scribe, maybe a humble but certainly very perceptive man, who has this most important conversation. He it is that has watched the Sadducees trying to trick Jesus and when nobody is listening, I imagine, he discreetly comes to Jesus and asks him a vital question. Jesus is impressed with him.

So many 'little people' appear in the Bible, not forgotten by God. Little did they know their impact would be remembered all this time later. Just like in everyday life, we influence others all the time.

Are there others you know of, overlooked, who still influence us to this day?

How about:
[Jhn 6:9 KJV] 9 There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?

[Act 20:9 KJV] 9 And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus, being fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he sunk down with sleep, and fell down from the third loft, and was taken up dead. No sleeping in church & don’t preach too long.

[Jhn 11:43 KJV] 43 And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.

[Jos 2:1 KJV] 1 And Joshua the son of Nun sent out of Shittim two men to spy secretly, saying, Go view the land, even Jericho. And they went, and came into an harlot's house, named Rahab, and lodged there.

[Exo 2:5 KJV] 5 And the daughter of Pharaoh came down to wash [herself] at the river; and her maidens walked along by the river's side; and when she saw the ark among the flags, she sent her maid to fetch it.

Mar 14:51 And there followed him a certain young man, having a linen cloth cast about his naked body; and the young men laid hold on him:
Mar 14:52 And he left the linen cloth, and fled from them naked.

Some think that young man may have been Mark, himself...

How about Pilot's wife? She had a dream from God where He informed her to not let her hubby mess with the lord. This, in itself, would help awaken Pilot to the truth of Jesus, but Jesus opened Pilot's mind to believe all that Jesus said about Himself. Jesus likely explained the Davidic Covenant to Pilot so that he would agree to proceed with the crucifixion. As said, Pilot was Enabled to recognize Messiah and tried extremely hard to defend the Lord. Ultimately, the dream that Pilot's wife was given prevailed, and the prearranged Plan of God was carried out when Jesus was betrayed. But Pilot's wife . . . she may have had a solid role in the Plan of God.

Huh. I've never heard that before. Do you know where a person would find the info to make such a conclusion? :D
Not really, not being big on commentaries myself, but you know how people love to speculate.
