Dos your friend know what the doll is going to do when it has the 'spirit' in it?
Isn't it going to sit there and continue to be a stupid doll?
 
You should challenge him to find a doll that has any sort of power at all.
You should take those dolls, ter them up, burn them, and ask him where the spirits are afterward.
