[h=2]Re: What are dreams teaching you?[/h]
I have a personal dream to share. A little background info first.
My husband had to work out of town for 17 years. He rented,
came home on week ends. He decided to retire early. I was ill
from stress and weak. This put the normal things a wife does
upon him. He had no complaints. I have a great husband.
But.... here is the dream I had after he comes home and has
to take over until I got better.

**** I dreamed I was in a Black SUV in the rear stretched
out, as if I were a corpse. I could smell flowers, but there
were none. Just me. My husband was driving the vehicle as
I lay in back, alert.
**** When I prayed and thought this dream through, it came
to me I had lost control of my life as I knew it, literally. I
am from the old school where the husband is head of home.
I was aware he was now taking control over what I had been
in charge of for the 17 yrs he was away.

In real life, my father was never one who could stand clutter.
A place for everything, and everything in its place.
I wasn't born that way. So growing up, my dad would go to
my vanity, and go through my one drawer I kept small things
in like pen and paper, diary, or whatever a teen likes.
He ( dad ) would toss things away, saying...'you don't need
this, and you don't need that.'
Honestly that was the most scarred thing that hurt me in
my growing up years.
Okay, so I marry a man like my dad. Wouldn't you know it ?
LOL ~ There is a saying here in USA, a man marries a woman
like his mother, and a girl marries a man like her dad. [ true ].

My husband retired as I said, and he needed to begin to
remodel our home and update it. New bath, new kitchen, etc.
But... wait... that meant things had to be moved from where
I kept them. Knick Knacks, photos, all the things most
women like for decoration. He said, 'if I have to dust and
do this and that, I don't want to have to move things around.
I loved the Victorian look, so I had quite a bit of what he
or you would call clutter. Yes it was work to keep them clean.
They were plaques, etc. So, here we go again... TRAUMA
He gets boxes and begins to say, do you really need this ?
This needs to go. Oh, my gosh... I married my dad .....
Tears... I cried so many tears.... my life as I had known it
was totally changed. Okay so I get a new kitchen.... Know
where most of the things we put in spare room we took out
of kitchen are? Either went to the local Mission, donated.
Or still in the room on a shelf. I discovered, I didn't need
those things after all.
That does not take away my feeling of wanting to hold onto
things that mean a lot to me. But, we know all things are
only earthly anyway. And when I die, it will be gotten rid
of.
So, when I dream, often times it is always referring to my
losing my identity. J~K~2

Allow me to laugh... You are like me on keeping things on a "record". Threads acn be lost sight of, but a blog stays and can be updated.

When I read your post I felt that I like things at the same place, not moved or changed like my mother ussually likes to change her things (and also mine).
