I have a lot to say even though i don't use the mic....feeling utterly ignored by every single chat room i go into lately. No one cares a bit what i have to say about ANY topic or anything. Feeling sad. :(

Chat rooms are mostly just full of cliques. It's not just you, it's most people they don't care about. And this is nothing new. 3 years on this site and that is one thing that has been consistent. Cliques rule the rooms and only care about their clique.
Whether that is the immature, asinine, pointless discussions of the Lounge or the self important, focus on human understanding/intelligence of the Bible rooms. Even as long as i've been on this site, mostly when i go into rooms i sit silently and wait for people i know to PM, or PMs from strangers. But then again, i stopped spending a lot of time i the chats.

If you want to be heard, go into the Bible Study room and say you're an atheist or that you believe palm readings, psychics, astrologers, etc., are frauds who work with neither demon or magic. You'll be the center of attention!

In all seriousness, you're more bound to get noticed when you get to know people better. So really, it helps to join other people's conversations and getting them excited to see you enter the room. The more attention you give other people, the more attention they tend to give back (more or less so). Getting a mic and using it also helps quite a bit.

I´m sorry you´ve felt frustrated, Cairparavel!

There is a risk when you said you are an unbeliever, because adding to being ignored, there is a risk of animosity... You would get attention that way, but later on you would need time to "say" who you are and people would feel offended, too.

The best thing is interacting with YOU and the people who seemed to be like you. Read their posts and grasp who they are or who they were and, if you don´t mind, invite them to chat (if you really feel you have that need).

Forums have given me a good idea on whom people are and, besides, I can write on my own timing, learning from me and from the kindness of those who have shown their feelings, their nature and kindness to read what others thought or felt.

Don´t give up, please! Sometimes I use my own mirrors to talk and, these are my blogs. There I talked to me and you can talk to yours. :)

True. Hopefully the sarcasm wasn't lost in my post. : P

hey..i haven't even checked the responses till now..I feel a bit silly now...i usually don't take it that seriously, but sometimes my emotions are a bit too extreme in the "poor me" department. I guess I was just having a bad day and no one was listening at that time. It was actually for the best because i really needed to talk to my Father God alone right then anyway. no worries! :)
