It has be popularly said that "God answers prayers! Yes, no, and wait." Clever atheists have even scoffed, "the milk jug answers prayers, Yes, no, and wait." The problem is that we are forgetting God is a Person with a rich vocabulary and a variety of answers, a GOOD GOOD Father!
This also operates under the incorrect assumption that praying is defined as making requests to God. That's a part of it. But prayer is so much more!! It is thanksgiving and praise and rejoicing and discussion and silence! Prayer is communication with God! It is the love Romance language with the Lover of our souls! Deep in the secret place alone with God! Fully satisfying and much better than anything this world has to offer!
It is necessary that we pray for our needs in this world, but how much more so is it necessary to romance our God, pouring out our souls to our Beloved, learn from our God, conversing with Him on topics we don't understand and believing in our Wonderful Counselor to educate us! Delighting in Him in fullness of joy as we cannot stop smiling and rejoicing in laughter! Laughing with Him who has the richest sense of humor in which there is never malice or denigration, honoring Him in holiness for the subject of Love which is too Holy to be jested on. We do not have a Father who hides himself to tease us, but one who hears our every word! He will call man to give an account for every word spoken, how much dearly will he hold in His heart the words spoken to Him in love and adoration, the prayers of a Bride to her Bridegroom, one who has entered a covenant of sacrifice to count it all joy, enduring all suffering as joy and rejoicing all the more he lavishes His love on us in blessing! Precious Jesus our King!
Love your God in word and deed, praise Him with your lips and your heart, spend time with your Heavenly Father seeking the kingdom of God. Prayer is heaven!!! What is better than seeking the face of the Most Bueatiful One and dwelling in His resplendent presence? Brethren, let us fall in love, deeper and deeper in love !!
