Hello Everyone,
I want to share with you both a meaningful story I was told and a little experience I had yesterday.
Yesterday morning I went to church. There was a preacher who came from another church to visit us .
He spoke about on how God provides us everyday and how God provided for him so many times. He told us that when He was little, he lived with his whole family
(Dad,Mom and his 2 siblings). His Dad was a missionary in my land at those times and so they lived together with some mission fellow workers who were part of the group.
Those were difficult times and they were not a rich family
.
He told us that there was a day in which there was no food at home to eat and when lunch time came his mom said his father: "What are we going to eat today?we have no food!". His father said :"Don't Worry ,The Lord will provide..".
This preacher told us that as he was coming from school (he was little then) he was very hungry and all the family, plus the fellow workers of the mission, would eat together everyday. They were about 15 people to feed...!
So,that day they all seated around the table, his mom prepared the table with dish, glasses and all the stuff...but there was no food..
The Preacher's Father started to pray, and he thanked the lord for the food and for that day.
As he finished the prayer , someone knocked at their door. The Preacher went to open the door: it was two women who had big nests on their head (typical old tradition of those times to carry something). These women were very sorry for being late and asked the preacher if they had already eaten, but the preacher said "well, not yet..!".
These women came in and told the whole family that early in that mornig the Lord told them to cook for that family and they were sorry for being late coz they missed the bus.
The preacher said : "that day it was a joy to see all the food those women had prepared for all the family and all the stuff..! Awesome, isn't it? ".
God provided them all that they needed..
Then the preacher went on telling us other important things but there was one thing which remained in my mind: God helps his children using not only money but also people who can help us.
So,the whole preaching was about the fact that "God provides for his children".
Ok, here's my funny and meaningful experience:
That day in the afternoon I was going out with the car and I wanted to get some petrol into my car .My whole family uses the car (4 drivers),so very often we have to get some petrol if we still want the car to move..! lol.
As i went to the petrol station, there were a lot of people who had to gas up their cars,so i waited for my turn.It was a "self service",so i had to get out of the car, giving the money to a worker there, and then come back to the petrol station to gas up my car by myself.
I had already done that some time, but honestly I just knew that my car needs unleaded petrol,so I thought I had to choose the green petrol pump I was used to.
As I was choosing the petrol pump I noticed there were two green petrol pumps, one was dark greened colour and the other one was light green. I took the dark green petrol pump (which is aimed for diesel fuel) as I was going to put the pump into the fuel tank suddenly someone called me "Hey man, wait...!It's not that,it's the other one..!". As I looked at him it was the worker, who had always been busy with all the crowd of cars there and it happened he was near to my car and helped me for that.
In that moment I felt a little embarassed for doing a very stupid thing like that but at the same time I've felt relieved for the fact that the worker there helped me for that.
As i finished getting some petrol in my car ,I went away and thanked the worker for the help he has given me.
As i was in the car,the preacher's words came into my mind and I'm quite sure that the spirit reminded me that "God provides for his children in many ways".
I've felt released for not having made a big mistake like that to my car and in the same time I started to thank God with all my heart for the help he gave me in that moment.
I know I know, I should have been wiser, but I had to learn that ...! lol
I just wanted to thank God writing this little testimony of mine (a very funny one) and in the same time I wanted to share with you a little encouragement for all of us:
>>> God Always Provides For you in the Way as He wants.<<<<
God Bless You.
Bye
