My names Jeremy Benson. I've been through quite a bit, but I'm not going to say that I'm much different from other people. The truest way that I could put it is, I am that I am. I've been through some good times, and have had a lot of fun, but I've also been through some rough times that I'd never want to relive.

One thing I'd never say though is that to me my life has always seemed normal. At times its seemed anything but normal. Then again, what's normal? Is it measured by what the majority of the people experience? No, I don't think it is. My life is normal. Normal for someone who's talked to God, normal for someone who's experienced demons, normal for someone who's had group hallucinations (if they could be called that), normal for someone who's been drunk for months, or done more than 10 hits of ecstasy in a night, and my life is normal for someone that's held group Ouija sessions trying to 'lead spirits to the light'. Maybe my life is normal...

I was born in Saint John, and lived on Grand Manan. Growing up was fun, but I've always had a bad streak in me. My bad habits started quite young. I remember experimenting as a kid with smoking cigarette butts, but smoking wasn't something that caught on until years later. As I grew older I had experimented with painting white out on cigarettes and smoking them, a few years later with cooking Tylenol into crystals, and smoking it. After that it was smoking marijuana. From there it was ecstasy. After that came mushrooms, acid, daldudids, coke and crack on occasions, over the counter pills, and far too much alcohol.

Later in my life I started seeking God. I would pray every day, read from the bible, and try hard with Christianity. Then one night while I was at work the Lord started speaking to me. After that night my life had never been the same. Since then he has been with me, been my closest friend, and most loved friend of all that I would know. He's even gotten me to speak with my friends, and then spoke to two of them in front of witnesses.

He asked me if I wanted to get my friend John to hear him. I said yes. He then told me to tell him to tell the Lord that he loved him. After that John's eyes lit up, and he said "I heard it back!". Only moments later he had instructed me to do the same thing for my friend Micheal. His eyes too lit up with amazement.

Today I'm far from perfect, but I know I've become a better person than I had been in the years before. I caused a lot of turmoil for myself, for my family, and for my friends. I still struggle from time to time with things that shouldn't be an issue, but we're all human. One thing I can say for sure though, is that if I can help it, I'll never go back to where I was. Ever!

I love God, and he truly does save souls. I hope that the world would come to him before the end :)

Glad to hear that you're in your Father's arms. He is truly magnificent, isn't He?

Yeah he is, I haven't known anything better. Still I can't seem to shake the bits of depression I've been getting lately. Well I dunno how to put it, lifes good, and God's been good..I just get right sad sometimes, I can't help but laugh though.

I feel like I need to be outside. Winter here in Canada's got me stuck inside...

I was probably supposed to answer that question with a yes, right? lol

You've answered my question before I asked it with your testimony, Jeremy :).
Laughter does good like medicine. I often laugh a lot when I read some of these posts here :D
It's kind of funny; it's warm here, and I'm only slightly below Canada. Not too warm of course, but warm enough that if you had a sweatshirt you could get by.

Nice Testimony. I remember when I got saved I thought I was the next Moses. I heard the Lord in my basement and was never the same. i didnt really attend church so I didn't know much, but I sure know what the voice of God sounds like. I like to hear expereince rather than religion. I guess we are family now.

Jeremy,

I love to hear stories of people that have heard the holy spirit talk to them. When the holy spirit took me into his arms I was quite alone and crying out to him from my own addicitons. I begged for him to take be at any cost he asked. He wrapped my soul in his which I could see through my heart. It was the warmest loving fealing I have ever felt and at that moment I was totally content.

When I asked him "WHat if I look/go back (to my past sins)"?
He said "Don't look back" I fealt my self looking over my shoulder into a dark world.
Then I Asked him"What if I can't find you"?
He said "I have always been there".

SO here is my absolute truth to gettign by in my daily life "Don't look back or ponder your past sins and life, they are forgiven and he does not want you to go there. You will be talking to satan and you can easily slip up. Always look forward and to him. Hunble yourself and keep himinyour heart and daily life.

God Bless

What it like having YHWH speak to you? Do you hear it allowed our do you just feel it in your heart?
I've been a christian my whole life, I was a really cruddy person for awhile in my high school years pretty much like OP but i didnt get into the hard drugs, but even when I was doing awful things I still loved YHWH and sometimes would stop and beg forgiveness.
I've now grown out of my rebellion stage and Love YHWH very much and am trying to learn as much as i can about him. I prey to him like hes with me in the room like he's my father, I feel like I have a deep love for him but I dont know if he's ever talked to me other then making my conscience off like crazy if im about to do something bad. I've prayed for him to open my heart and ears so that i may hear him but I never know If hes talking to me or if its me making it up in my head because i want to hear from YHWH so bad.
