I watch in excitement of our children growing into adults. In their graduating, getting married and having babies, i STILL hear The Lord's Word challenging me to hold on loosely to this world and always ready to go home with Him.
Someone in church once said to me.. "Cheryl, you think of death too much."
lol Do I? Or is It just a faithful acknowledgement of His Words?
The Lord Himself reminds us to always be prepared for His return..
Don't get me wrong, i am grateful for the day while it is still day. I just came back from our daughters bridal shower! I am so very grateful to be able to see my family grow, but Jesus didn't promise us a fairy tale ending for this world, He never said, "do not think about His returning any hour or to put our head in the sand about it all.
On the contrary, we are to be always mindful and watching for Him even in the calm of day. We are to be watching and praying not just while sick or near death, but also while we are planning baby showers too.
He did not promise to take me from this world, but to walk WITH me IN power, through it all.
So, are you ready? Are you waiting for the Lord even while you are dining with family at a kitchen table or dancing at a wedding? Are you ready for the Real wedding?
Keep watch and be blessed.

"For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.

“Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.~ Matt 24:38-44
