Hey people...
I need a little help with a project I have.
Our youth leaders are arranging a get together, and the theme of it is : "Have You Been Branded?" (As in, do you have the Saviors brand? (Do you belong to the Savior?)).
So, my assignment was to think up some "Brands" that we can stick on the backs of our shirts... I'm having some trouble thinking up GOOD "brands"...
So, I'm asking my brothers and sisters in Christ, to help me out here.
They need to be something that you could stick on cows if you had a mind to. (You cowpokes out there should know what I'm talking about).
 
Do you mean like symbols like what they brand on a horse to show what ranch it belongs to? If so, then how about a cross with a halo over it and maybe a heart shape outline around it.
 
Yep, that's what I mean... I'll talk to my youth leaders about that one... thanks for the suggestion. :)
 
You're welcome :) Just think of things that remind you of Jesus or heaven or God like crosses, hearts, angels, the dove (holy spirit), a crown, blood, etc... and be creative. :)
 
I like zeroturbulence initial suggestion a lot.

I think another neat design would be two fish that are wrapped around to make a shape similar to the infinity symbol. Inside one of the wish their would be a lamb and in the other a dove.

I can't help but wonder what the point of this entire project is. Why do you feel the need to brand yourselves?
 
Ive always been fond of the cross with the crown of thorns wrapped around the top with bright light rays illuminating it from behind.
 
Okaaaayy... We're not REALLY branding ourselves... that would be kinda dumb...
It's just the theme of our Youth Outing. "Have you been branded?"
Do you carry the Saviors brand, in your heart? Do you try to represent Jesus in everything you do?
We're putting this "brand" on the backs of our shirts. So, we won't be branded, our shirts will.
Some of these, are a little too detailed to use as a brand. :/
But thanks anyway. :)

Dear BlueAngel,

Two themes which come to mind are (a) something with a shepherd and sheep (maybe one lamb), and (b) a person being carried in God's arms. These would both seem to further the idea of belonging to Him.

God be with you in your search. :)

I understand this but why do you feel the need to do this. Doesn't God know the intent of your actions? What is the intent of branding your clothes for his glory? It just seems like a way to show off to the public that you are a godly person.

No no no... We do this thing every year, different theme every year... This is this year's theme... It has nothing to do with showing other people anything.
Last year, our theme was : Life's A Rodeo, Ride True. And we had a bucking horse with a cowboy on it... This year, for the backs of our shirts, we need a brand. We're not going to burn it into our shirts, we're going to put it in iron on lettering and design. It's just for the memory of this years Youth Get Together. We also get bandana's with the same thing on them... You could say that they're suvineers. :)
