Ive been struggling with that on and off myself. Ive been so busy with life, I haven't been reading Scripture as much as Id like to. I talk to God all throughout the day, but nothing compares to reading His Word. Life happens, and many things are battling for our attention, but if I see God as very important to me, then I gotta fight daily and set aside time from my activities to use for God. For me it looks like instead of lazily scrolling on my phone at night, pick up my Bible and read, or listen to an audio reading of the Bible. Sometimes, it looks like reading Scripture first thing in the morning to shape my mind for the day.

My flesh wants to see reading Scripture as a chore, just another task to mark off the to do list. But my spirit sees it as its rest and comfort. I want to renew my mind to see reading Scripture as a delight to start and end my day with. After reading, I my heart always gets this immense warmth and my mind feels calm and satisfied. But that doesn't mean my flesh still doesn't try to make me not want to keep a consistent reading schedule. It's a daily fight and I love it because I get to test my devotion to God, lol.

If you ever want a reading buddy, I'd be down

Well....
Just flat reading? Uggghhhhh....nope....not scriptures.

Topic studying.....now theres a thing.

Go research biblically related topics that has caused you to have a question.
You can ask literally any question you want....no one is gonna fuss....you are doing the researching.

Find the answers and write it all out....you can Ask for help if you run into trouble....but be careful, some questions or answers are not going to be publicly received well.

I read a chapter a day. I've tried everything and that's the only thing that ever worked consistently for me. I've read the new testament and I'm almost done with the old now. Going through a stressful week or grieving or whatever I take a break for a week. But then just get back into it. Bible is next to my bed so it tells me to read it before bed. So I have to literally say no, not tonight. But I won't forget. Also it's easy and short so there's less fighting with myself about it. Often I will say I'm too tired but I'll just start it...I end up finishing bc it's short. Like telling yourself I'm going to walk around the block verses running 3 miles.

I don't read study Bibles or books about Christianity as I find it distracting for me personally. I read parables and moses novel with my kids. But mostly the Bible with them, sometimes kids and sometimes regular. Not really Narnia type of books. I just find that more for fun and they can read it on their own.

I've enjoyed listening to the Bible, songs, reading whole books of the Bible at once, study bibles, little kid Christian books. It's just not habit forming. I'm fussy with books and the Bible passes with interest and curiosity. I like to highlight the words God uses in the old testament and Jesus in new.
