God let me make a few observations over time.

Old people look, sound, feel, and are tired.

Foods that make you tired also make you old--eg, sugar energizes you, but then you get the crash. It makes you tired.
It damages your DNA and speeds your cellular aging up (source: Dr. David Sinclair).

Rest is anti-aging, and resting the body, through fasting, slows aging. Staying awake when you feel tired does some amount of irreversible damage (ages you).

Salads are energizing (especially without the bad dressings), and it just so happens that greens contain the most nutrition we as humans need (see Victoria Boutenko's work).

Inflammation, aging, and tiredness (need for extra rest), all go together--eating an anti-inflammatory diet helps to keep your body energized and young.

Excess nutrition ages you--in the absence of fasting, exercise prevents excesses, so exercise is anti-aging. Exercise energizes you. Excess fat, eradicated by exercise, releases inflammatory compounds--again, inflammation and aging and tiredness.

Fasting is the best medicine.
Also, it increases BDNF (you grow new neurons), stem cell production, human growth hormone, and ketone production.

There are lots of specific scientific studies we could also talk about along these lines, but these observations encompass them.
_______
Low protein (eg, fasting) keeps you young, because the body activates the SIRT2 pathway (source : Dr. David Sinclair) that makes corrections on your DNA (it get errors over time). This suggests protein rich diets (even plant based) are not optimal, and perhaps inflame and make us tired--interesting Genesis 1 says our original diet was fruits and veggies and greens.

Excessive sugary fruits also ages you--stem cells aren't preserved as well as when the body is running on ketones. Fasting increases ketones 20x.
