Of the 4 words translated hell in the kjv, only 2 are describing hell. Sheol and hades are death, the grave, the abode of the dead, etc. taratus is used once and means prison,place of gloom, sadness, etc., then Gehenna was a trash dump, where carcussus of criminals were thrown, which is referenced by both jesus(using the word) and isssaiah(see Isaiah 66:24) to describe the lake of fire.
