Hi all,

Everyone this post is merely a question, I need some help in helping a friend

so the stories goes as such, A couple of friends was having a chat on their lunch break at work and they were discussing how lenient God is these days. They were was comparing it to the old Testament and one of them said that God was wicked........then he was like he don't mean God is wicked he was just thinking of the how wicked it was when people where stoned to death and all of that and it just came to his mouth. Now he is troubled over Mathews 12(blasphemy of the holy spirit) which say if anyone one speaks a word against the holy spirit it will not be forgiven. From my believe i told him that Jesus said if you spoke against the holy spirit then you wont be forgiven but you said God so you did blaspheme but you can be forgiven since its not the holy spirit.

Now Im not sure because people say the holy spirit is GOD while some say he is the spirit of God but not God so im abit confused. I don't know if I should continue to try prove to him that he haven't done this sin or let him be..........

he also believed that the holy spirit is the Spirit of God but not god

So i would really like some input from you guys to get my facts right first off, so i can help others

Hi Kemar,

I have no answers but I consider you a friend so I am concerned with your concern.

All I can suggest is finding verses about blashphemy of the holy spirit and reading them in context. Who was the audience, what caused the topic to come up etc? Was Jesus talking to one of his followers?

You have probably already done this but read, pray and continue to seek. There are no contradictions in the Bible and Jesus did say he would never leave us or forsake us. This is only my speculation but if it was that easy to lose our salvation I think a book or two at least would have been dedicated to the subject.

If God loved us enough to slaughter his son for us He would love us enough to communicate that important warning very very very clearly. God has a tendency to repeat important things over and over again in his word.

Think your friend is rightly confused!
How can a god be loving and wrathful at the same time.
Because Love is a state of being that is unconditional of any other thing
wether you buy in or not.
If Yahwehs love is conditional then it is not love but false love, a fabrication.

The writers of the Word had no idea what love is or for that matter Who or what they were. The book is written by ego for ego. Thats why it works.
The result is generations that no nothing about the puzzle that is life, yet know everything about the creator and his intent. Someone is cheating?

His problem would serve you to "know" who God is:

Is He Christ? No! He isn´t His Son.

Is God the Holy Spirit (or another person)? Just read the Bible. Ask GOD and Jesus directions.

I just leave this:

Joh_1:33 I didn't know who he was. But God, who sent me to baptize with water, had told me, 'When you see the Spirit come down and stay on someone, you'll know that person is the one who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.'

Joh_4:24 God is a spirit. Those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth."
