Just wondering where you all stand on purity rings. I come from an athiest family and my christian views have never really been accepted- I think that staying pure untill marriage is really cool (may not be the right word!) and respectful to God and future Husband/Wife.
Thing is i'm not really sure how my Parents and friends will react as none of them are religious either.
Please can anyone help - i'm torn as to what to do.
EEEEEEEEP!

Knowing that it's the right thing to do often makes it a LOT easier to do it.

Well, if they haven't done much about your Christianity thing other than not accepting it they'll get over the purity ring.

you dont need a ring to show your love for God, your love for God should be shown in the way we live our lives, because we live for Him.

Praise God for your choice to remain pure till marriage. and as long as you put no trust or faith in the ring but where it as a symbol of your commitment to yourself and God in shuch a holy and upright way, it is ok. God did not say we can't make graven images; but if you do make them;;; Do not bow down and worship them.. what ever you put faith in it is it that you worship and bowdown to. as I whee a cross, but I will never think that it will effect me one way or another if I don't where it. it is nothing but jewelry. but the cross shows other that I am a christian, but it does not make me a christian.

so where you ring and I believe that it will encourage others when you tell them what it symbolize and as a badge it is telling what you are doing. you are saving yourself for marriage. which np matter what others think, God is well pleased in you his daughter, and I am too.. my sister. praise and glory you bring him with your walk of life ( being a doer and not a hearer only ) keep up the good works.

I believe you don't NEED a purity ring. They're cool and I have one, but it's what's in your heart not on your finger. But they are wonderful for symbolize the promise you made with God to stay pure.
I'll pray for you and your family because I honestly don't know what that's like, since I've grown up in an all Christian background.
God bless! Keep going strong for him! :)
