Actually, I'm not that new, but most of you probably don't know me anyway. I used to be cornapple, but got kicked out for "inappropriate talk" (i didn't say anything weird, promise)
The point is, well, the PRAYER request is last week sometime I was reading true scary stories, I know it was stupid, but I was bored, and I scared myself so much reading about the exorcism of Emily Rose.
I wish I didn't read it because now, it's scaring me and i'm having panic attacks and fearing something is going to get me.
I'm trying to have faith alone, but I'd really appreciate some prayers to get this scary stuff out of my head.
I believe that God will not let anything happen to me, but sometimes my faith isn't strong enough

Erica, please remember this: garbage in...garbage out. When our minds dwell on scary things, it eventually penetrates our whole being and ends up growing seeds of fear and fear is the opposite of faith. You should spend time reading the Bible, listening to some Christian music, being around Christian people, and dwelling on good things. Pray and communicate with God and listen for Him to speak to you, and fill your mind with those things. The scriptures tell us, "If there be anything good, think on these things." I'm praying for you.

Thank you both so much. I think I'm depressed too. Every morning I kind of wake up with a sense of dread, that either I'll be sad or scared. I'm not gonna give up though. I appreciate your prayers.

I know how you feel happ!

I don't watch scary movies, because every time I watch one, for a few months I can't be home alone, can't be in the dark alone, can't even go outside at night alone, because I think something is going to chase me, or scare me.

They're bad stuff!!!!! Stay well away!!!

My sister once told me a scary story about something that happened to an acquaintance of hers in a dentist office. It bummed me out for a few days, but I was all right after that.

just give it to God! everytime you are scared or worried or anything else, just close your eyes and say
"Lord pelase take this away for me, I am giving it to you" instantly you will feel better. I was scared and worried about my daughter but I pray everytime I start to get worked up, because God takes away all of our hurt, anger, fright, everything that is evil and fills us with love and hope and happiness! Just try it.
