I checked into a hotel and I saw a minibar in my room stocked with delicious candy like M&M's, nuts, snickers bar, soft drinks, etc. I found a menu on it and I was curious about the prices, the M&M's are $10.00. A bottle of water is $6.00, Cashews are $11.00, Pringles $3.50 etc. I never touched any of these items and I did a google search and found out the minibars are wired with sensors and a scale that if an item is moved, it's automatically charged to your room even if the item is not open or consumed and these items are within a child's reach (big brother is watching you and charging you). I'm sure very few people are willing to pay that much for something they can buy for $1.00 at the Wal-Mart or the 7-11 store. One rule I always live by when travelling, Never touch the minibar. At least one good thing, they don't charge to view the menu.
My hotel minibar is called the Wal-Mart.
