Hey its my personal flaw: I hate cleaning. I don't like washing dishes, i don't like doing laundry and my husband spoiled me for our six year aniversery this year and bought us one of those round metal robots that vacuums by itself because i don't like vacuuming either. lol

I guess I have a hard time focusing on the mundane things, but house cleaning does not just refer to material things we have to weed the garden of our minds of any of the seeds the Enemy might have planted inside our lives and inside our dreams.

I will share with you a poem I wrote in High school before I declared Jesus as my Savior. I believed He was but I felt unworthy of being His sister. We have since talked it out so I'm cool with it all now. lol

In the Garden of Your mind: 6/6/1998

Imagine each dream a flower, and your soul is the garden in which they are to grow. Sometimes you are the gardener and cultivate each blossom. Sometimes the garden is allowed to grow wild, allowing an unseen hand direct and nurture the growth.

And if love is a seed that could be planted imagine the flowers and fruit it would bear. Each with a different taste and scent because there is more than one kind of love, but they all come from the same place in the end.

What happens when you allow your soul to grow wild without divine help or when dreams grow dormant and die? Chaos, confusion

God tends to our souls if we let Him.

Good advice. With spring coming, many of us could probably use a little spiritual spring cleaning.

That poem was beautiful, AnandaHya! Thank you for posting it! I've had many weeds grow in my spiritual garden more times than I'd like to count. I agree, time for spring cleaning of my spirit too.

Beautiful poem. I'm the wrong person to comment on this post though, as I'm a total neat freak :)

Oh AnandaHya, it's so good to hear that you hate house cleaning. Most of the women I speak to seem to actually enjoy keeping the house clean all the time (or at the very least, don't mind too much). I find it so boring, tedious & steals the time I could be doing other more worthy things - e.g. playing with my kids! But it has to be done & I've accepted that much, but I still don't enjoy it. Juliana, you are welcome to come clean my place too - any time! LOL
But I agree about cleaning out our minds. If you constantly place yourself in a position where God can speak to you & open your heart & your ears - He will show you where you need to do some spring cleaning.
