I never really thought about it until recently. I've realized how many parents talk about their kids like they're annoying nuisances who are always getting in trouble and costing time and money. Like last night I heard this lady (like alot of other parents I've heard) say "I could have killed that kid." It didn't really bother me when I first heard it, but now that I think about it, it bothers me. I know she was just joking, but still how could someone say something like that jokingly? Or another time I was in line at this store, and the lady in front of me was talking about what "a pain in " her daughter was. She kept going on and on about how her daughter was making her life so miserable, but then she ended it with "...but I still love her. Or there's this lady that my aunt knows who blatantly tells people she hates kids. She won't do anything with my aunt if she knows I'm going to be there. She doesn't even know me, but she hates me. I mean, I hear all these people (who are nice people) talk about how kids are always in the way, getting in trouble, annoying, and a pain. I've never thought about it before, but do parents just say that they love their kids becuse they have to. I mean, I always hear people who are good parents and all that, but they talk about their kids like they're dumb, annoying, idiotic things.
